FAQs
How do I prepare for a lip blush treatment?

If you have ever had a cold sore, it is essential that you take a course of antiviral medication (e.g. Aciclovir) starting 3 days before your appointment — please consult your GP to obtain this. Arrive with well-moisturised lips; a good habit is to apply a lip balm regularly in the week leading up to your visit. Avoid alcohol and blood thinners 24 hours prior.

Will the treatment hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable. Individual pain tolerance varies from person to person. Some clients feel a light scratching, warm sensation or discomfort. , but most find it very manageable.

My lips look very intense right after — is that normal?

Absolutely. Nearly all clients will experience some swelling. Lips tend to show the most dramatic colour immediately post-treatment. Expect swelling and a vivid colour to last for the first 2–3 days. The colour will fade by up to 50% as healing progresses, settling into a soft, natural flush over 4–6 weeks.

What aftercare do I need to follow?

Keep lips moisturised with the provided healing balm throughout the day. Avoid kissing, spicy foods, and anything acidic for the first week. you may need to use a straw for the first 24 hours. Do not pick at any peeling skin — this can cause patchiness. Avoid sun exposure on the lip area and hold off on lip fillers for at least 4 weeks post-treatment.

How long does lip blush last?

Results typically last 2–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure. A colour boost appointment is recommended annually to keep the tone looking fresh.
